Returns & Refunds Policy
At Hijab Kompaniet, we value your satisfaction and want to ensure a smooth shopping experience. This Returns & Refunds Policy explains the conditions and procedures for returning or cancelling orders. By completing a purchase on hijabkompaniet.com, you automatically accept and agree to these terms.
1. Our 14-Day Return Policy
You have 14 calendar days from the day you receive your order to initiate a return. Returns requested after this period will not be accepted.
2. Conditions for Returns
To qualify for a valid return, the following conditions must be met:
- Original Packaging: The product’s original plastic bag must be included and intact.
- Unused Condition: Items must not have been worn, washed, altered, or customized. Testing is allowed, but the product must not show any signs of use.
- No Odors: Products must not smell of food, perfume, smoke, body odor, or similar.
- Complete Return: All original packaging, hangtags, gifts, and accessories included with the order must be returned.
- Correct Product: The returned item must match the product listed on the original order.
- Documentation: The official return form must be completed and included, along with a note showing the 4-digit order number.
- Return Period: The return must be dispatched within 14 days of the package being collected by the customer.
- Hygiene Items: For hygiene reasons, sealed products such as undergarments or swimwear cannot be returned once opened.
We cannot accept returns that do not meet these requirements.
3. What Makes a Return Invalid
A return is considered invalid if:
- The package is not collected from the parcel office.
- The return is shipped after the 14-day deadline.
- The product shows odors, stains, marks, or other signs of usage.
- The product is not folded or presented in the same way as when received.
- The wrong product is returned.
- The original product bag or included gifts are missing.
- The return form or order number is missing.
Invalid returns will not be refunded or only partially.
4. Return Procedure (Step by Step)
- Submit Return Form: Fill out the official return form at the bottom of this page with your order number, contact details, and reason for return.
- Wait for Instructions: We will review your request and respond within 5 business days with instructions and the return address.
- Prepare the Package:
Pack the item securely in its original bag and include all accessories and gifts.
Insert a note with your 4-digit order number.
Ensure the product meets all conditions listed above. - Ship the Return:
The customer is responsible for the return shipping costs (unless the product received was incorrect or defective).
Use a tracked shipping method. Keep the receipt and tracking code as proof.
5. Refunds
- EU Customers: Refunds will be issued to your original payment method once the return is received and approved. Processing may take up to 10 business days, and banks may require additional time to post the refund.
- Outside EU: Customers outside the EU will receive a store credit (gift card) equal to the product value. This credit is valid for 12 months. No monetary refunds are provided for international returns.
- Partial Refunds: If an item shows minor damages (e.g., loose threads or removable stains), Hijab Kompaniet reserves the right to deduct a percentage from the refund instead of issuing a full refund.
- Timeline: Refunds (or store credits) are issued within 14 days of processing the return.
5A. Return Handling Fee (Effective from May 2026)
• Standard return handling fee: 109 SEK
• Large return handling fee (4 or more returned items): 199–299 SEK
This includes additional time and resources required for:
• Individual product inspection and quality control
• Steaming and garment restoration
• Repackaging and presentation recovery
• Inventory processing and restocking
• Administrative handling and refund processing
For large returns, the return handling fee may increase from 109 SEK to up to 249 SEK depending on the number of returned items.
The applicable handling fee will always be deducted from the final refund amount after the return has been received and approved.
Starting from May 2026, all approved returns are subject to a mandatory return handling fee of 109 SEK (approximately 10 EUR depending on the current exchange rate).
The fee is per seperate order.
Additional Handling Fees for Large Returns
Returns containing 4 or more items may be subject to an increased return handling fee due to the significantly higher operational workload involved in processing larger returns.
This fee is separate from the return shipping cost and covers the operational and administrative work required to process returned items, including but not limited to:
• Manual inspection and quality control
• Steaming and reconditioning of garments
• Repackaging and restoring the product presentation
• Hygiene and odor inspection
• Folding and preparation for resale
• Administrative processing and inventory management
• Payment processing and refund administration
The return handling fee will be deducted directly from the refund amount once the return has been received and approved.
To ensure that returned packages arrive safely and can be verified upon delivery, it is mandatory to use a tracked shipping service when returning items to Hijab Kompaniet. Returns sent without tracking are entirely at the customer’s own risk. Hijab Kompaniet is not responsible for lost, delayed, or undocumented return shipments.
6. Unclaimed Orders
- Packages not collected from the delivery point are not valid returns.
- Customers will be charged a handling fee of 200 SEK – 800 SEK depending on the destination country. This fee comes directly from DHL/PostNord and is non-negotiable.
- If this invoice is not paid within 14 days (or the agreed deadline):
We reserve the right to retain both the product and the payment.
The case may be forwarded to debt collection (inkasso).
The customer will be blocked from making future purchases. Attempts to purchase again under a different name or details may result in legal action.
7. Damages & Issues
Inspect your items immediately upon receipt. If your product is defective, damaged, or incorrect, contact us straight away at contact@hijabkompaniet.com. Please provide your order number and photos. We are committed to resolving issues promptly.
8. Exchanges
We do not process direct exchanges. If you need a different product, return the original item (if eligible) and place a new order once your return is accepted.
9. Cancellations
Orders may be cancelled within 24 hours of purchase.
After 24 hours, your order will already be in processing and cannot be cancelled.
If you no longer want the order, you must receive the package and then initiate a return according to our return policy.
10. EU Customers – 14-Day Cooling-Off Period
In addition to our policy, customers in the European Union have the legal right to cancel or return their order within 14 days, for any reason and without justification.
11. Excessive Returns & Abuse Prevention
Hijab Kompaniet reserves the right to refuse future orders from customers with unusually high return rates, repeated unclaimed packages, suspicious purchasing behavior, or misuse of our return system.
This includes but is not limited to:
• Repeated bulk ordering with excessive returns
• Returning used, damaged, or incomplete products
• Repeated failure to collect packages
• Attempts to bypass previous restrictions using different names, addresses, or contact details
These measures are necessary to protect our business operations, maintain fair pricing, and ensure sustainable practices for all customers.
12. Additional Information
- The customer is responsible for the cost of return shipping unless the product is faulty or incorrect.
- We strongly recommend using tracked shipping. We are not responsible for lost or undelivered returns.
- Hijab Kompaniet reserves the right to refuse or deduct refunds if the return conditions are not fully met.
